The right answer comes from your actual Seoul plan, not the advertised total value of every possible benefit. This guide shows the exact comparison to make for time-window and Pick-style products while keeping unknown or unverified prices out of the calculation.
The 60-second decision
- List only attractions and transport you genuinely intend to use.
- Add the current individual ticket cost for each planned item.
- Choose the exact current pass product and its verified rules.
- Test each legal activation or Pick combination.
- Add every uncovered planned item once, then compare complete totals.
Baseline = all planned individual purchases
Pass scenario = pass price + all planned items not covered by that candidate
Savings = baseline − pass scenario
A pass is the cheapest choice only when its complete valid scenario costs less than the baseline. A benefit you would not otherwise use has a value of exactly zero.
Time-window and Pick products need different math
Time-window products
Build a candidate from every planned event that can legally start the clock. For each candidate, calculate its exact end time, covered items and uncovered costs. The best window can start later than the first sightseeing event.
Pick or group products
Follow each configured group limit. A valid combination may require one choice from several different groups, so simply selecting the highest individual ticket prices can produce an invalid or non-optimal result.
Activation is a cost decision
Never infer activation from a product name. The engine records the trigger for each benefit and applies one of these explicit rule types:

A worked comparison without invented prices
Suppose your planned items cost A, B and C, while the pass costs P. If one activation window covers A and B but not C, compare A + B + C with P + C. If using an airport benefit starts the clock too early, compare that candidate with a second candidate that buys the airport trip separately and activates later. The lower complete valid total wins.
This symbolic example is deliberate: unknown commercial values are never replaced with plausible-looking numbers.
What to collect before calculating
- Your planned attraction, date and approximate entry time.
- Any transport benefit you would genuinely use, including its issue or redemption time.
- The current individual price for each planned item and the applicable traveler age band.
- The current pass price, validity period, group limits and activation rules.
- Existing non-refundable purchases and any fixed, user-locked times.
If any required price is unknown or too old, the safe result is “not enough verified data,” not a guessed recommendation.
What a trustworthy result should show
- The individual-ticket baseline and the complete optimized total.
- The selected product, activation start and validity end.
- Which planned items are covered and which must be bought separately.
- Warnings for early activation, stale data or low confidence.
- The calculation source and verification date for every mutable value.
